Loktah Media Packaging

November 20, 2008

Long time no see huh?

Sorry for my lack of posts.

Anywho, I just found a really great company and had to share it with you all. I have been on the market for a way to spice up my branding and presentation materials for quite some time now. My photo montage cases were nice and all but I wanted to steer away from the whole jewel and dvd case business.

What I found was

Loktah.
Loktah Media Cases

I stumbled upon their site after hours of searching online and fell in love with their media packaging as soon as I saw their products. I read through their website and became more and more impressed with each line that I read. Their customer support was also very impressive! I sent them an email and got a phone call within the hour with someone on the line to answer all my questions. Minutes later I put in my first order!

So what made me want to purchase their packaging? Tons!
First off, their products are all 100% GREEN. That means they are all organic and their papers are from a renewable source found in the foothills of the Himalayas. Each case is dipped in bee’s wax to preserve the quality of the paper and allow it to age with natural beauty. Lastly, there is a red coral bead and twine that accents each case is all hand made and slightly unique. Beats the heck out of my jewel cases!

As you can see by the picture above, they go above and beyond when it comes to all the fine details. I received my package (FAST) and was pleasantly surprised to see how much care and detail was put into their presentation. Absolutely stunning!

They have gotten a customer for life and I hope you check them out and give them a try yourself:

Here is one on shutter drag for you to check out. For those who don’t know, shutter drag is a term used when shooting with your flash. Dragging the shutter means that you are setting a very low shutter speed on your camera (so shooting in Manual mode is a perk here) to let more ambient light in and create movement. The flash (should be set to rear curtain sync) then fires at the end of the exposure to freeze your subject. The result is an image that tells a story of movement and motion. It also helps to bring out the ambient light in the background for a more appealing photograph.

Here is an example of dragging the shutter and zooming in with my lens:
